Everyday, when the guests tell me about how genuinely my team delivers their work from the heart, consistently. This leaves a lasting impression on the guest. For me there is nothing more fulfilling than that.

We are in an Island nation so our hidden gem is our House Reef and its Bio-diversity.
What is your favorite spot in the hotel? Where can you enjoy the most breathtaking view?
Sunset at the Pool Bar, Over Water Japanese restaurant and of course the rich diversity of our House Reef; Underwater. It's surreal and magical, each and every day. One can sit there and time stands still for hours
The Italian gesture that represents you the most
The Perfetto gesture, which I use often.
What is your favorite destination experience? (from the Baglioni selection)
Baglioni Maldives as I live here. Being a nature’s person, the beauty and magnificent of the island surprises me every day. Other than Maldives I like Baglioni Hotel Luna, Venice.
If you could recommend only one dish from your restaurant’s menu, what would it be?
Vitello Tonnato from Gusto restaurant. It’s a veal dish served with yellow fin tuna tartare and tuna sauce.
What inspired you to get into hospitality, and when did you realize you wanted to become a GM?
I call myself an accidental General Manager. The company I worked for almost 13 years provided me with many platforms and from time to time took risks on me as they believed in my abilities. I was promoted every other year. I believe if you enjoy what you do and put in all your passion to keep improvising, you eventually reach where you belong. I have been the GM now for 9 years.
How important is sustainability?
At Baglioni Resort Maldives, we have made it a priority to implement initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint. Maldives, the archipelago, which is made up of over 1,100 coral islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean, is the lowest lying nation in the world. Therefore, sea level rise caused by global climate change is an existential threat to the island nation. At the current rate of global warming, almost 80% of the Maldives could become uninhabitable by 2050, according to multiple reports from NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey. This awareness of how climate change is intertwined with marine life, ocean ecosystems, and plastic and waste management, it becomes our pivotal goal to adopt initiatives that are aimed at reducing our carbon footprint.
What does Baglioni Hotels & Resorts represent to you? And why did you join the company?
Baglioni hotels for me is the eponymous Italian Culture and Luxury, the unforgettable Italian Touch that becomes part of every traveler who visits a Baglioni hotel or resort. I joined this company because of the brand image it carries.
A motto you live by
People before Numbers, Its true both for Guests and for Employees. We are in People’s business. It's important to understand them. I believe if we don’t understand people, we don’t understand hotel business. Numbers are organic to how well we understand people.
Which aspects of your Hotel / Resort are you most proud of?
